I dunno, but it seems to me that a lot of DH Ladies have their "panties on a wad" over indiscriminate winking by wink happy suitors. I for one have firmly attached a clothes pin to my winker at the very subtle behest of several past winkees. It just seems so impersonal, I mean, come on, a digital wink? In person you can put some English on them, ya know, but a cyber-wink just seems to lay there just begging to fall prey to the NOTORIOUS DELETE KEY! I'm still trying to recover from my last deleted wink, and it was sent with the utmost respect of the winkee. So, chime in and let the masses know where you stand!
Yes, No, Maybe so................

| Personally, I prefer email over winks.
However, the winks are nice too.
As they do show acknowlegement.
However, alot of times when I receive a wink, I think they
are only responding to my picture without reading my profile.
I prefer an email which includes some kind of indication that they
read my profile. And it also shows they took that extra bit of time.
I also prefer pictures to be on the their profile.

Best wishes,
Jade

| I would prefer an e-mail. The "wink" is a good option to break the ice though if your not good at 1st impressions like me

| NOOOOOOOOOOOO they do not, I believe if they really wanted to talk to us they would go ahead and send an email. I would much rather receive an email then a wink any ole time. A wink makes me feel like they are just lookin at the pic and NOT my entire profile. Too impersonal I think.

| I don't mind the first wink, but please don't keep winking!
JMO - winking is okay for the initial "I'm interested" contact. It gives me a chance to check out their profile to see if I am interested.

| Winks are great. As long as they are followed up by an email. Tell the person what about them (profile, pic, posts) caught your interest.

| I think a real man winks when he wants you to acknowledge his presence or to flirt with ya. I think it's a good thing and I think it's a sexy thing when a man winks at ya. Now when they are winking here on the site, I think they are trying to acknowledge their presence as well, but being cautious at the same time

| Yeah it is kinda like testing the waters with out looking like a fool, and it lets someone know that you could be interested JMO Now most ladies will probably say no because winking doesn't take any time and if someone really liked them then most women would rather a guy take the time and write something to her but what they don't understand is that us guys get tired of writing something very nice too people only to be ignored that's why alot of us wink first..............
