I AM A AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE 44 SINGLE WITH NO CHILDREN. i HAVE really BEEN IN SEARCH OF A WIFE,OF THE OPPOSITE RACE.i GREW UP IN THE NORTH AROUND THE MAJORITY OG PEOPLE OF THE OPPOSITE RACE EVEN IN SCHOOL 1-6 GRADE ONLY 4 AFRICAN AMERICANS IN THE WHOLE SCHOOL. SO MY LOVE FOR THEM STARTED YOUNG. THIS IS NOT TO SAY ALL WOMEN ARE NOT BEAUTFUL CREATIONS OF GOD. IS THIS WRONG IN MY SEARCH? tHIS HAS CAUSED PROBLEMS BLACK WOMEN DONT LIKE ME SAYING I WANT TO BE WHITE ( WHAT EVER THAT MEANS ) OH I AM EDUCATED AND TALK CORRECTELY ( MOST OF THE TIME) WHO KNOWS . AND WHITE WOMEN IN THE SOUTH SEEM TO FEAR IT.WILL I EVEF FIND HERE SIGNED TIRED AND LONELY

| Man, we're living in the 21st century. If race is still an issue there are plenty of religious communities, camps, and segregated places where people like that can go. For those of us in my general generation give or take some years its become widely accepted and the concept of interracial relationships shows the growing diversity of our country, which is a beautiful thing. After all, isn't that the basis we founded America on? To be accepted as our own people with freedome of religion, government, and a since of individualism? Sad it took several hundred years for people to start catching on, huh?
Ahhh, another Memphian. Kind of changes things. Look at it this way. Take the cultural diversity that is flourishing up north. The acceptance level they have takes southerners about 50+ years to catch up too. Its like living in another country, wind pants are probably just now getting cool in Europe =P Give it time and don't give up. There are people who look past the social norm and accept everyone for who they really are and if they don't...well they are the ones hindering society from moving forward towards a more unified whole.

Other people do not pay your mortgage, other people don't buy your groceries, other people didn't buy the vehicle you drive in. You purchased those things because you like them right? So date whomever you want. Forget what other people think. They are not making you happy. You make yourself happy along with the woman you are dating.

| Well there is someone for everyone and if it's your preference to date white women then go for it but being in the south your options are somewhat limited and for many reasons. But don't limit yourself to just one race or you will be waiting for a while.
If it has caused problems with black women because you tell them you prefer white women well you don't have to tell nobody what your preference is and not just that who cares. Everyone has a preference or opinion!!!

Those that can't accept that we are all individuals who have a right to like whatever the heck we like are very closed minded and limiting. I see no problem with preferring a different color of women. I'm kinda prone to white guys myself but it isn't set in stone.
when I first read the thread too, i also wondered what opposite race was. I mean I'm going to assume (which I probably shouldn't be doing) since he's "black" that when he says opposite he means "white". So I'm wondering what's the opposite of Mexican, Asian, etc etc? clarification would be nice of course.
