| I was wondering, is there a group, maybe a support group, for people who have family members currently serving in either of the sandboxes? How do we get one started if there isn't? My brother is on his 3rd tour, 1st two in Afghanistan and this latest is in Iraq. It'd be kind of nice to talk to someone going through the same thing....

| Thanks guys, I appreciate it. My brother just left 2 weeks ago, and while the first two deployments were hard, this one really stuck, you know? My kids keep asking me, why does Uncle go to war, an what is war, mommy? Why do people do those things? The hardest one to answer was "when can we see Uncle?" Every time I turn on the news, or look in the paper, I see more casualties, or how this dude is going to "pull out" when he's voted president, blah blah, BS. I'm just having a difficult time understanding just the WHY, as in why, are we even there?

| soo rant all you want. i dont think anyone really knows y we are over there.i have 3 cousins all ready deployedin the sand, 2 getting ready for thier 3rd deployment and 2 more that noone really knows where they are rite now.there is really no answer that we can give the kids because we as adults dont understand it. just keeep insurin them their unckle will get back home and he is ok. they will make it thru wuh smiles on thier faces
